== Pierre Fraigniaud == CNRS researcher (Directeur de Recherche) Member of [[http://www.irif.fr|Institut de Recherche en Informatique Fondamentale]] (IRIF), affiliated to both [[https://u-paris.fr|Université Paris Cité]] and [[http://www.cnrs.fr|CNRS]] {{ma-photo2.jpg?150}} Pierre Fraigniaud got his Master degree in Applied Mathematics from [[https://www.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr|University Grenoble-Alpes]], and his Engineer degree in Computer Science and Applied Maths from [[http://ensimag.grenoble-inp.fr|ENSIMAG]], in 1987. He got his PhD degree in Computer Science from [[http://www.ens-lyon.fr|ENS Lyon]] in 1990, and his Habilitation in 1994. He joined CNRS in 1991. From 2003 to 2006, he was deputy director of [[https://www.lri.fr|LRI]] (//Laboratoire de Recherche en Informatique//), located at [[https://www.universite-paris-saclay.fr|University Paris-Saclay]]. From Jan 2010 to Dec 2017, he was successively director of [[http://archives.liafa.univ-paris-diderot.fr|LIAFA]] (//Laboratoire d’Informatique Algorithmique//), and [[http://www.irif.univ-paris-diderot.fr|IRIF]] (//Institut de Recherche en Informatique Fondamentale//), both located at [[https://u-paris.fr/|Université Paris Cité]]. He was Management Committee Chair of the European COST Action 295 [[http://www.cost.eu/COST_Actions/ict/295|DYNAMO]] on Algorithmic Aspects of Dynamic Networks. Since 2024, he is co-chair of the national research group //Informatique Fondamentale et ses Mathématiques// ([[https://www.gdr-im.fr|GdR IFM]]). He is currently the head of the [[https://www.irif.fr/en/equipes/distribue/index|Distributed Computing group]] at [[http://www.irif.univ-paris-diderot.fr|IRIF]]. His main research interest is parallel and distributed computing, and specifically the design and analysis of distributed algorithms and data structures for networks. He is member of the Editorial Boards of Distributed Computing ([[http://www.springer.com/computer/communication+networks/journal/446|DC]]), and Theory of Computing Systems ([[http://link.springer.com/journal/224|TOCS]]). He was Program Committee vice-Chair of the 31st IEEE International Parallel and Distributed Processing Symposium, in charge of the Track Algorithms ([[http://www.ipdps.org|IPDPS'17]]). He was Program Committee Chair for the Track C of the 41st Int’l Coll. on Automata, Languages and Programming ([[http://icalp2014.itu.dk|ICALP’14]]), for the 30th ACM Symp. on Principles of Distributed Computing ([[http://www.podc.org/podc2011/|PODC’11]]), for the 19th Int’l Symp. on Distributed Computing ([[http://www.mimuw.edu.pl/~disc2005/|DISC’05]]), and for the 13th ACM Symp. on Parallel Algorithms and Architectures ([[http://spaa.acm.org/2001/index.html|SPAA’01]]).
