diiP institute

I am glad to announce that the Data Intelligence Institute of Paris 
(diiP) has started operations. It is an IdEx (Initiative d'Excellence) 
interdisciplinary institute covering Univ de Paris, SciencesPo, Univ 
Sorbonne Paris Nord, and INED.

The mission of diiP is to support interdisciplinary practices around 
data science and data intelligence, integrating and capitalizing on the 
world-leading expertise in the domains practiced at the partner 
institutions, including formal sciences (mathematics, computer 
sciences), physical sciences (physics, astronomy, geoscience), life 
sciences (medicine, biology, neuroscience), and social sciences 
(linguistics, psychology, sociology, political science, economics, law, 
history).

open calls for proposals
------------------------
The diiP institute has open calls for two types of projects:
- Masters-level Student Internships with a duration of 6 months (2-page 
proposal)
- Strategic Projects with a duration of 12 months (4-page proposal)
The deadline for submitting proposals for these projects is *October 22, 
12 noon* (Paris time). The selection of successful proposals will be 
concluded by mid-November, and the projects are expected to run during 
January-December 2021. Both types of projects should be related to data 
analytics and data intelligence. For more details, see:

The diiP institute will also support PhD fellowships on topics related 
to data-intensive artificial intelligence. This call will open in late 
Winter 2021.

The diiP institute organizes an Information Day on *October 2, 10am* via 
zoom:

involved and get funded for different disciplines (~1 hour). We will
