On January 1st,
2019, FILOFOCS has become a "Joint International Unit"
(UMI 2005), joint to the CNRS, the University of Paris,
Tel-Aviv University, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem,
and the Weizmann Institute of Science. It has research
facilities at the three participating Israeli
institutions, and a "mirror site" at IRIF in Paris. The
LEA has ceased to exist as such on that date.
Please visit the website of
the new Joint International Unit.
FILOFOCS stands for "French-Israeli Laboratory on
Foundations of Computer Science". It is an associated research
laboratory (LEA) of the CNRS
and Tel-Aviv University,
with IRIF
(formerly LIAFA)
and the School of Computer
Science of Tel-Aviv University being the main partners.
The activities of FILOFOCS include, among other things, annual
workshops that alternate between France and Israel, the
support of mutual visits of French and Israeli scientists,
both senior and young, and the participation in organizing
scientific events.
