Daily Allowance Calculator

This is a calculator to estimate the total cost of daily allowances (per diem) based on the official rates available from Public Finance Ministry

For France, the calculator uses the daily allowances for when hotels are booked via CNRS and Univ Paris online platform (currently TravelPlanet and Sesame). For special cases (allowance for invitations, handicapped personnel, hotels “hors marche”,…) please refer to this page

  • Enter the number of nights and the number of meals that you will have to pay (i.e., not those included in conference fees or free).
  • Select the country where you travel
  • Press “Compute”. You will obtain:
    • the total costs for your mission in local money (for some countries in Euros or dollars (USD) instead of local currency),
    • the conversion in Euros based on the latest “taux de la cancellerie” (official public administration change rate),
    • the max reimbursement for a night,
    • the forfeit reimbursement for a meal.
