Direction's announcements

  • New position: IRIF is looking for its next Financial Manager. Please disseminate this vacancy's information around you.
  • [REMINDER] Project Deadlines: two deadlines are approaching. Emergence 2024 (February 23rd) and International Researcher Invitations (March 13th). It is very important that there are many applications issued from IRIF since the number of projects awarded by the university is proportional to the number of applications. See below for the application details.
  • Demolition works of the concrete slab in rue Lepeaute and on the façade will be removed between February 14 and 22. This may cause nuisances.
  • Missions: For nonpermanents, please upload a copy of an authorization email from your supervisor to your mission requests on Etamine.


News

  • Handicap PhD grant: a call for handicap PhD grantsis open until April. This grant funds a doctoral contract over 3 years and extension months funded by the Ministry. For the procedure, please contact the doctoral school.
  • Intership funding: As part of the SMARTS-UP Graduate Schools project, Université Paris Cité is launching a call for proposals to fund master's internships for foreign students enrolled in a foreign university. In particular, the graduate schools Mathematical Sciences and Quantum science cover IRIF research themes. To apply, fill this form and send it to smarts-up.mobility@u-paris.fr.

  • Théâtre Forum : As part of Equality Month, UPCité's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion mission and the College of Doctoral Schools invite you to attend a forum theatre session entitled “Ce qu'il en coûte” (What it costs) by the SYNERGIES company.

Focus on Claire Mathieu: a committed scientist, who has resigned from the Presidential Science Council

Claire Mathieu, chercheuse en informatique et en mathématiques sur la conception et l'analyse d'algorithmes au CNRS à l’IRIF, a obtenu de nombreuses marques reconnaissance dans le monde académique, par sa nomination à la Chaire annuelle Informatique et sciences numériques du Collège de France de 2017 à 2018, suivie de la médaille d'argent du CNRS en 2019. Elle a participé à la conception des algorithmes de Parcoursup. En décembre 2019, elle intègre l'Académie des Sciences, dans la section des sciences mécaniques et informatiques, puis obtient le titre de Fellow de l'EATCS en 2023 pour ses contributions fondamentales aux algorithmes d'approximation, aux algorithmes en ligne et à la théorie des enchères. En 2020, elle est faite Chevalière de la Légion d'honneur. Et fin 2023, elle est retenue pour intégrer le Conseil Présidentiel de la Science. Retour sur une participation éclair mais non pas moins remarquée.
